Aboard the USS Providence and other Starfleet vessels of its era, Communications has its own dedicated bridge station. The officer who attends it is responsible for overseeing all incoming and outgoing transmissions as well as coordinating shipboard reports and messaging. The S/COMS visual reference sheet created for the Communications officer includes standard Attribute and Discipline combos associated with hailing frequencies, damage reports, and related countermeasures. Power costs and difficulty levels are indicated where applicable. (Note that the signal intercept and signal jamming tasks have a variable difficulty based on encryption level or signal strength.) These notes on gameplay have been embellished with the kinds of imagery that players might associate with audio analysis.
